Artur Biernasz
Rehabilitation Specialist & Personal Trainer in Edinburgh
I help you move with confidence by bridging the gap between passive relief and personal training that builds long-term strength.
Rehabilitation is an active process, not a passive one.
Originally from Poland, I came to Edinburgh to pursue my passion for human movement and sports science. My journey at Health by Science began as a sports massage therapist in Edinburgh, but my true passion lies in helping people reclaim the movements they’ve become afraid of.
I believe that while hands-on therapy can “open a window” of relief, real change happens when we actively challenge your body’s limits. I specialise in graded exposure—taking the movements you struggle with, like spinal flexion, and gradually building the strength and biomechanical efficiency to perform them without fear.
From Fear to Functional Strength
Leading our community-focused rehab and high-performance training.
- Thrive rehabilitation class coach: Like all our team, I run Thrive rehabilitation classes, providing a structured and supportive environment for individuals managing long-term health conditions to rebuild their capacity.
- Graded Exposure Specialist: I help clients overcome “active fear” by using science-based progressions to restore trust in their bodies, particularly with complex movements and spinal health.
- Biomechanical Optimisation: I focus on helping you move in varied, meaningful ways to improve joint health and overall physical resilience.
Discipline and energy through movement
Movement is a lifelong journey, and I practice what I preach. When I am not in the clinic or gym, I spend my time training in Muay Thai boxing. This discipline keeps me energised and reminds me of the importance of consistency and mental resilience—values I bring to every session with my clients.
