Not injured. But not right?

If you’re stuck in the cycle of resting, trying again, and flaring up — you don’t need to guess which service to choose. You need clarity about what your body can do today and what it needs next.

Recurring niggles that never quite settle.

Unsure whether to “rest” or “train”.

Back in the gym — but not progressing.

Returning after injury, pregnancy, or a busy season.

Want a clear plan that feels safe and doable.

This is exactly what the Movement MOT is designed for.

If pain or injury is limiting progress, our physiotherapy in Edinburgh team can assess the issue and guide the right next step.

The Six Core Movement Patterns We Assess

We assess the six fundamental movement patterns your body needs for long-term health, resilience and performance.

Squat

How you sit, stand and generate strength through your hips and knees.

Hip Hinge

How you lift, brace, and protect your back under load.

Push

Upper-body strength for daily tasks and sport.

Pull

Shoulder health, posture control and upper-body balance.

Single-Leg

Balance, joint control, and injury resilience.

Carry

Real-world core strength and whole-body capacity under load.

Measured on Levels 1–5

Each pattern is graded from Level 1 (entry level) to Level 5 — our “strong enough for life” standard. It’s a level that supports an active lifestyle, better long-term health and lower injury risk — without turning training into a second job.

You can always do more — but beyond this point, the returns often diminish compared to the time invested.

Your results give us a clear starting point — and a clear route forwards.

Many clients use their results as the starting point for personal training in Edinburgh focused on long-term strength and resilience.

Assess. Explain. Plan.

Assess

We screen each core pattern, identify limitations and flag any pain triggers or sensitivity.

Explain

You’ll understand what’s going on — what matters, what doesn’t and what to focus on first.

Plan

You leave with a plan built around your level, goals and schedule.

This Isn’t Just an Assessment — It’s a Clear Starting Point

After your Movement MOT, you don’t leave with guesswork.

You leave with a clear, personalised training structure and a defined next step — whether that’s physiotherapy, personal training, or both.

Included after your MOT:

• A personalised programme based on your assessment
• A results and implementation call with your PT
• Clear progression priorities
• Guidance on how to track and adjust your training

If you’d like ongoing accountability and optimisation, we’ll explain how our online coaching works on your follow-up call.

The goal is momentum — not perfection.

This Is for You If…

  • You want to feel strong and capable again
  • You’re time-poor and need a plan that fits real life
  • You’re training — but something feels off
  • You’ve lost confidence after pain or injury
  • You want a clear standard (Levels 1–6) and a route to improve

We’ll meet you where you are — and build from there.

If Pain Shows Up

If pain is present during your assessment, we’ll guide you onto the appropriate pathway.

For acute or recent injuries, we recommend starting with a free Online Physio Assessment.

If needed, we may guide you into physiotherapy in Edinburgh for a more detailed clinical assessment.

For manageable niggles, we adjust your plan and integrate clinical input where needed.

Person-centred. Evidence-led. No guesswork.

A trusted clinical partner

We don’t just follow industry standards—we help set them. Through our work with local universities and healthcare bodies, we bring the latest rehabilitation research directly into your training program.

Real people. Clear progress.

Here’s what happens when you start with clarity — and structure.
